Does your church have a message for people who are not able to leave their homes or their beds? Does your church have a message that may be heard worldwide? Does your church have a message that may be heard again and again? Audiozender.nl has the solution for you: broadcast your message via digital techniques, and make CD quality recordings at once. An Audiozender 2.0 device is connected to your existing audio installation and to an internet connection. Then it is: "Switch on to broadcast." Any audio installation can be used for this. Broadcasting is possible via ISDN, or ADSL/cable modem, or even very affordably via 3G mobile broadband (UMTS) that doesn't need a telephone line. Especially for churches, the Audiozender 2.0 can transmit to Audioserver.nl (=Kerkdienstgemist.nl) and Kerkwebsys.nl. These are audio distribution networks that were designed from the ground up to optimize broadcasting of church services. Transmissions can be saved, and tagged with subject, speaker and further information. Both the live broadcast and saved transmissions can be hidden from public view if you wish, while they will still be available for your own listener group. For users with a computer, you can place a direct link to your broadcast on your own website. Also, you can couple the listing of saved transmissions on Audioserver.nl to your own website. For people who cannot leave their homes or their beds, mostly elderly people, there are simple but effective "Lukas" listening devices available. Insert mains plug, insert phone plug (or ADSL/cable modem), and you can listen. A handy remote control is supplied for a maximum of comfort. The "Lukas" can be used to listen to both live broadcasts and saved transmissions, and is automatically configured by Audioserver.nl or Kerkwebsys.nl to enable this.
Recording A unique feature is that the Audiozender 2.0 can record to multiple (dozens!) USB devices at once, via standard USB hubs. That way, it is possible to connect several simple MP3 players, that will be filled with the recording automatically. After the service, the MP3 players can be brought to your listeners, who will then be able to enjoy the service during the week. Multiple times, if they so wish. You can also leave a USB hard drive permanently connected. Then an archive of all recent recordings will be maintained on it automatically. The oldest recordings will be removed automatically when the hard drive is nearly full. In the unlikely case that something bad happens to the USB stick, there will always be another CD quality recording available on the hard drive. Highly advisable for special services like wedding and baptism. Furthermore, the Audiozender 2.0 can also transmit a CD quality recording directly to an internet server. For example a separate Audioserver.nl account, or any cheap webhosting account. Then you don't need to carry USB sticks around any more, but just easily download the high-quality recording and create CDs from it. Of course, this needs a reliable, fast internet connection both in the church and at home.
Extra possibilities Of cource, this also needs an internet transmitter to be present in the funeral home, for example also an Audiozender 2.0. Please contact your funeral home to discuss this. The way you transmit to your own listeners does not matter, because even if you only use your Audiozender 2.0 for recording, the playback facility can still be used to pass through transmissions from the funeral home.
